Tom Lietzau is a professional artist painter with a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. His work covers a wide range of artistic forms, including paintings, drawings and conceptual art, as well as art theory, and have been shown on numerous solo and group exhibitions.

Among Tom’s many works are Illustrations for Unwritten Tales – a series of paintings and drawings depicting a land of fantastic imagery and paradox. The paintings show charaters’ adventures in a comic-like style, with simplicity and playfulness, creating a sense of ambiguity and anxiety, and provoking a reflection upon our own lives. The „tales” themselves have never been written, therefore the series is an invitation for the viewer to imagine the missing parts of the story and learn the ‘language’ of this mysterious world.

The artwork shown on this website comes from the above series.
